Replaceable DSP Code Sections in ADAU1452 or ADAU1466?

I'm wondering if it is possible to have sections of DSP code reserved to be replaceable. Such sections would need to be identified such that the input and output connections are known. The code inside the replaceable section would have a known maximum size, and can be replaced dynamically during runtime. For a simple example:

Has anyone done this sort of thing? Is it even possible?

Thanks!

It's possible, but I imagine a huge pain. Why not just re-upload all of the ADAU code during runtime when needed? Or, if you have the memory/MIPS available, have all the blocks present and route the signals accordingly?

Thanks, Joe42. That's what I figured. I'm hoping to have the memory/MIPS to have all the blocks present and route on the fly. Re-uploading the code requires stopping the DSP, which in our application, is not a good solution. The block/signal approach you suggested makes the most sense--if we can squeeze everything in.
