Hello,

I have two identical compressor blocks in cascade. Each has three points. As an example: Point A: (-90, -113), Point B: (-60, -48) and Point C: (4.8, 6)

I need to use two such blocks in cascade to get the desired effect.

Can I combine the same effect into one block? If yes, then what would be the new settings for points A, B and C and what is the logic for the same?

Will I need post gain/ attenuation in the process?

Thanks in advance!!

Hi KKSL:

This will depend on both:

- the points you use; all points for both compressors should be in the new compressors

- the time constants of the 2nd compressor must be much faster than the 1st compressor.

If the time constants are about the same or longer in the 2nd compressor, I'm afraid you will still need 2 compressors.
