Hello everyone!

I am using the ADAU1701 and have worked out the PCB , and now i only want to test the ADAU1701 if its started working hard!

now the setting is selfboot mode , the selfboot pin tied the level high DVDD, but i measure the output DAC3, DAC4 , nothing outputs!

so i think the test mode if will be in no selfboot mode? and what else something wrong ? the datasheet explains very simple about the test mode!

Hope the ADI's experts and some other high level user 's help!

Many thanks

Hello proton12,

Using Selfboot you will be loading in a program so the test mode will not work. Even though it is a blank program. Also, if the EEPROM is truly blank, then it will try to boot up and fail and then simply go to sleep.

It is easy to setup a simple program using SigmaStudio. Then write it to the DSP and use the selfboot later. Are you able to set the selfboot pin low for testing?
