Hello,

I moved your discussion since it was in a thread for the ADAU1701 in which this topic does not apply.

You can use the cells for a few types of NLMS filters to design your own system. If you drop the cell into a project, highlight it and then press F1 it will bring you to the Wiki page for that cell. It does not always work but try that first. There you will get a basic explanation.

Here is where you can find the cells in the Tree Tool Box:

Then we already have designed a complex line echo canceller along with a noise reduction algorithm. These cells are for a trial only, These are available for production under license. You can find it here:

You will need to have some example programs since it is complicated to properly setup and use. I will refer you over to Ken.M for support if this is the path you want to take.

Thanks,

Dave T

Hi Dave,

where can I find some example programs for the AEC NB? How can I license that functional block?

Hello Bjoern,

There is a link at the bottom of the Wiki help page for licensing:

https://wiki.analog.com/resources/tools-software/sigmastudio/toolbox/adialgorithms/aec

Ken.M Ken can help you with some of the example files etc. Which processor are you planning to use?

Hello Dave,

how can I find the sample projects: Sigma300_AECNR_Standard_GUI.dspproj and
Sigma300_AECNR_Wideband_GUI.dspproj?

Thanks.

Example projects for the AEC and noise reduction blocks are now available here:

Hello Ken,

I am looking into performing Acoustic Echo Cancellation on an ADAU1452 processor but I have a few questions. The wiki page and sample project linked in this thread seem identical except for they differ in the filter coefficients of the "Interpolate by 2 - QMF".

The wiki says the filter coefficients here should be the same as when decimating by 2, however this is not the case in the sample project. What is the reason for this?

Hello,

The QMF are half-band filters and the coefficients are not the same as decimation/interpolation by 2. The wiki needs to be updated.

Chris

Hello

This link is no more available, I need to design an echo cancelling circuit for a speakerphone system.the hardware is based on ADAU1452. I need to implement a standard 8KHz samplig AEC

Thanks

Hello

The link is a 48KHz project, do you have a 8KHz version ?
Best regards

Hello Graziano,

I will work on it. Will the audio coming into and out of the DSP be running at 8kHz? So the DSP core will also be running at 8kHz fs? The actual AEC algorithm is already running at 8kHz but part of this is designed to run at 16kHz since a lot of customers who design conferencing and speaker phone systems use 16kHz fs. You probably notice that the 48kHz rate is converted to 16kHz then converted to 8kHz. This is because we built the program to work with the eval board that only runs at 48kHz.

So let me know your system sampling rate structure.

Thanks,
