Is it possible to create a 800kHz square wave signal from MPx pin on ADAU1452?
Hi there,
There is an application I need which is create a 800kHz square wave from MPx pin on ADAU1452.
However, the seared wave source is 24kHz limited. Can I use frequency doubler or frequency multiplier to make it?
and would like to use this make parallel to serial (Shifter )
Is it possible to implement these two?

Is there anyone able to answer?
Jason,
It is not possible to generate an 800 kHz square wave from MPx pin on ADAU1452. The output value is updated at the core sample rate. If you are running the core at 48 kHz, and you toggle it every pass through the algorithm, then you will have a 24 kHz square wave. The core can run up to 192 kHz, which would give a maximum toggle rate of 92 kHz.
If you have a spare BCLK line, however, you can generate a square wave output using that. Set the port to one of the other clock generator and set the PLL ratio to get the correct frequency. Remember, in I2S/stereo mode, there will be 64 clocks/core frame.

I just tried a BCLK line and got 768 KHz with this setting:
I didn't try to get it closer using one of the extra clock generators.
Best regards,

Bob,
That's in stereo mode. TDM4 doubles (and TDM8 quadruples) the bit clock. BCLK can go up to nearly 25 MHz (48 ksps * 32 bits/channel * 16 channels = 24.576 MHz).
