I am using SS 4.2 Build 1 Rev 1764 and an ADAU-144x and having some odd behavior with both soft clip algorithms.

When I added soft clip on two different paths I noticed what appeared to be some sort of aliasing.
I removed both and it went away.
I added one back in and it was still gone.
I added a 2nd and it was back.

Both the standard and advanced ones do this.

I am not using anywhere near the limit of my resources to eliminate that as a source of the problem.

Any ideas why I cannot use 2 soft clippers without issues?

Hello Ron,

Do you have a low pass filter after the soft-clippers or right at the end of your program before the data is sent out of the DSP?

The reason this is needed is that the clippers are non-linear functions and will create waveforms that have harmonics higher than the Nyquist frequency. If you send the outputs to a DAC it will alias.

Feel free to attach an example project to the post so I can have a look. But this is what I suspect is happening.
