Hello!

for an application we need the integral of an audio signal. Usually we do this by building it in the hardware after the DAC using an opamp with a cap and a high value resistor (for error correction) in the feedback loop. Is there any possibility to achieve this in sigma studio instead of hardware? A continuous summing of the signal with a adjustable drain would be sufficient.

Thanks!

Hello,

I did an integrator some time ago -- see An Integrator Block for SigmaDSP. By "drain," do you mean a small amount of negative feedback which tends to bring the output back towards zero over time? You could add that easily to the circuit shown. Note that you must use a Feedback block when sending any signal backwards in the flow (or else the compiler reports, "Illegal feedback"). Also, at least for the ADAU1701 -- each feedback path needs its own Feedback block (don't split the signal at the left end of the block with a T junction). The compiler won't complain but the result will hiss like a mad cat. This is because he Feedback block only reserves enough memory for one path (or something like that...).

Best regards,

Bob

Hi KJBob,

just had a quick look and looks like exactly what I need. The negative feedback loop I will try to add this afternoon to your example. Should be easy to try using a e.g. square wave signal plus a small dc offset. If everything works the small dc should be omitted and a triangle should be result. Thanks a lot I will reply with my version of it soon!
