Hi

I am trying to assign the MP2 and MP3 for volume control according to GPIO conditioning "PushButton to control Volume" help instructions. I got compile error of "RAM address exceed 2048" please see the photo for full error message.

When I remove the push controller the compile is successful. only when I add this algorithm that seems to cause the error. I had check all connectors and read/write back.

I assume that means I used all RAM in 1701.

Is there any other way to do direct or simple volume control use push button?

Thanks

Hello Tomdy,

In the folder where your project resides you will see a folder that SigmaStudio creates called IC 1_yourfilename...

In that folder you will see another folder called "net_listout2"

In that folder you will find a text file called "Compiler_Output.txt".

Can you attach this file? You might have to Zip it up if the insert file command in the forum gives you an error.

It would also be great to zip up and attach your program.

There are pushbutton GPIO capability but I have no idea how you are trying to do it and if you are running into resource issues.

I can send over an example if needed but let's study your issue first.

Hi Dave

Here is the file. I think it just confirmed usage of the RAM is exceed.

Hello Tomdy,

It looks like you did but that is a lousy error message. It should just say that you exceeded it and not crash. I wonder if the project is somehow corrupted?

For as small as your program is instruction-wise, you are using a lot of memory. Are you using Delays?

There may be ways to make your program more efficient. We would have to take a look at it.

Thanks Dave I will double check the program side.
