AlonIs Question

Hi

Just wont to approve the Sharc cores max clock rate.

it used to be 450Mhz and now I see in ADI site, it was update to 500Mhz.

Is it correct? Are there no heating problems?

Thanks in advance

Alon.

Hi Alon,

Please refer the datasheet of ADSP-SC5xx.
www.analog.com/.../ADSP-SC582_583_584_587_589_ADSP-21583_584_587.pdf

Yes, it is support up to 500 MHz per SHARC+ core. Please let us know which part number are you using? It will also dependant upon the processor part which you having.

Lalitha S

Hi Lalitha,

Are there any risk if we run 500MHz on ADSP-21584BBCZ-4A at 0C to 70C? Thanks.

Hi,

As per the datasheet, ADSP-21584BBCZ-4A supports maximum Processor Instruction Rate of 450MHz at –40°C to +85°C . We cannot guarantee the proper operation of the devices if the specification not followed. So, we would suggest you to follow the specifications as mentioned in datasheet.
