I have a Sure DSP based ADAU1701 connected via I2S to a generic PCM5102A board, all works well until I connect the programmer board and then all output from the PCM1502 DAC stops, the ADAU1701 DACS are not affected and continue to output the signal.

Is this a issue of the ADAU1701, or one of the board manufacturers implementation?

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Solved it, found by scoping the I2S lines that the BCLK was being grounded due to a PCB design error and then found this old post which helped narrow down the problem:

Cutting the track to the single 22 ohm resistor will disconnect the MP11 pin from the Write Protect circuit and all works as it should.
