ADAU1701 Chime function not working?

Hello,

I am using a adau1701 DSP. Works fine. Now I tried the Chime function in sigma studio. It seems as both the chime function's don't work as I expect.There is not much information on the net.

As input I either use a switch or a GPIO. Next comes the chime function. Then the adjustable volume slider and finally the dac0. Instead of just a single pulse when activated the chime is constantly repeating . Also there is a loud signal when not activated. Weird. Finally the signal shaping envelope thing does change a bit in the perceived sound but not as on would expect. In short, I get the impression the chime function is broken. Could you help. A simple schematic that really does work and produces a single, short chime signal when activated and immediately stops when not activated?
