Hi Team,

We tried to view the flashed hex data in E2Prom chip using "Read E2Prom to Display" option in sigma studio but data 'zero' is displayed in all memory location.

The flashed code working fine in self booting. We understand that flashed data can be viewed by using above option. Kindly let us know if we missing anything.

We are using "EVAL-ADAU1452MINIZ" hardware & Sigma studio version is 3.17.

Regards,

Ramasamy S.

Hello Ramasamy,

The EEPROM utility was designed for the older SigmaDSP products that had one control port. So the control port would change from a slave to a master and boot up using the EEPROM that is sitting on the same control bus.

With the ADAU1452 and ADAU1467 families of processors, there are two control ports, a slave and a master. So the USBi is connected to the slave port to control the DSP but the EEPROM is connected to the master port so the DSP can access the EEPROM as a master. So the USBi is not connected to the same control bus as the EEPROM. Therefore it cannot find it and you get zeros.

This is why you have to program the EEPROM "thru the DSP". The DSP has to load in a program that passes the data from the USBi coming in from the slave port and transfer the data to/from the master port.

If you right click on the part icon on the configuration window you will have a selection for verifying the contents. You can also view the transactions using the capture window and see the data.
