Hi ADI Expert,

If one Griffin is not enough for my design, may I link two Griffin by link port to do parallel data processing in the same time?

Since ADSP-SC58x has two link port, does it have quantity limitation to link DSP by link port?

Thank you!

Henry

Hi,

Yes, that is possible. Please refer to the Multi-Processor Connectivity section in the Link Port chapter of the ADSP-SC58x/ADSP-2158x SHARC+ Processor Hardware Reference (Rev 1.0).

Best regards,

MKB

Hi MKB,

Thank you!

It describes Link port can support up to 4 external devices.

Do you have any referenced schematic of linking link port and DAI port with multiple DSP?

Hi Henry,

You can refer to the ADSP-SC589 Evaluation board (https://www.analog.com/en/design-center/evaluation-hardware-and-software/evaluation-boards-kits/EVAL-ADSP-SC589.html#eb-overview).

See section 2.18 Link Ports Interface of the board manual: https://www.analog.com/media/en/dsp-documentation/evaluation-kit-manuals/adsp-sc589-ezboard-manual.pdf

Linkport loopback example code is provided with the EZ-KIT board support package, downloadable from: https://www.analog.com/en/design-center/evaluation-hardware-and-software/evaluation-boards-kits/EVAL-ADSP-SC589.html#eb-relatedsoftware

I hope this helps.

Regards,

MKB
