We just purchased an EVAL-ADAU1467 from Digikey and I believe it must be defective. Using a direct input to output connection in the DSP, what should the expected noise floor be? I am measuring approximately -98 dBV (Ref. 1Vrms) which can't possibly be correct. I have tried every other combination of input and output channels and the measurement is the same. I pulled our EVAL-ADAU1452 off the shelf and connected it up using the same cables to our Audio Precision and measure -130 dBV with a direct input to output connection. That's more like it!

Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks!

AW

AW,

Those two eval boards use parts from the same family of CODECs, and the performance should be very similar. Other than changing the input from channels 0/1 to 32/33, the same program should run unmodified on the new board (even using the '52 DLL). Can you post your SS schematic or an image of it?
