need a little help

please, i need a little help, i want to start learning, practicing and programming for dsp .. i want to generate a waveform and then process it's signal with dsp

i didn't know how to choose a evaluation board that is narrowed for audio processing - something uder $300 .. and want to ask if all adi-dsp development are tightened to visualdsp++ or there is something that can be used with a free or cheap software
