Hi team,

I feel like to ultiize as a signal level detect. Is it possible to feed external AC signal or retified signal into the AUXADC then calculate the average or RMS value to control output signal level. As I know the ADC was 12bits/48KHz. This kind of resolution might be acceptable.

Thanks and Best Regards,

Ted

Hello Ted,

What exactly are you trying to do?

The AUXADC was precisely designed to do this and we have externally controlled volume controls that it can be connected to. It is setup where you can choose hysteresis or not so most of this work is done for you. Plug and Play!

I looked and I have an example project. It is a little bit more complex because I also implemented an external mute using a GPIO but the basics are there. You would not need the ABCD block to make this work. You also do not need the Readbacks but those are handy for troubleshooting and do not take many MIPS.

Thanks,

Dave T
