Hello,

first sorry i use auto translation...

for a few days I have been trying to make i2s input work with the evaluation card.
For my tests I use a Raspberry Pi. The signal seems correct (3.3v P / P), I2s well decoded with my oscilloscope.
32 bit, Left justified.

eval board is slave and I just connected as follows:
LRCK -> LRCK_IN2
BCLK -> BCLK_in2
DATA -> DATA_in2

When I put BCLK and LRCK source to "Slave from CLK domain 2" -> no signal output

when I put BCLK to "Slave from CLK domain 2" and LRCLK as master ->
I have a degraded signal in serial output.
At the output of the DAC I hear the audio signal very weak with a lot of noise .....

for the schematic : a simple connection between sdata32_33 -> output 0/1

Same with serial output from WM8804.
I tested several register configs and I can't get it to work.
Someone can tell me a minimum configuration please?

ok i found the solution by configuring LRCLK_in2 -> MP12 mode Slave select channel other than 0.

I dont know why

Hello Paul,

I cannot argue with what worked, but I wonder if there is an issue with data transmission? Setting the pin to be an MP pin disconnects it from the serial port and makes it a GPIO pin signal to or from the core. That would certainly make it not work. So the MP function would need to be shut off for the pin to be connected to the serial port.

So my only explanation is that the data being written to the register is not being received properly by the DSP or...

Since you are using a Raspberry Pi, I wonder if the defines are not correct and so it seems like you are setting into the wrong mode but you are not. The key would be to directly control the DSP or to read the registers and compare them to what they should be.
