Thread Summary

The user has developed a WIN32 application that emulates the registers of ADAU1401 and ADAU1701, allowing real-time data visualization and saving of RAM content to a binary file for EEPROM programming. The application communicates with Sigma Studio via TCP/IP on port 8086 and supports real-time control of DSP parameters. The final answer confirms that the TCPi interface will support ADAU1452 in the near future and clarifies that the emulator is primarily for testing TCP communications.

Hello guys,

I'm making available here the WIN32 application, which emulates all the registers of ADAU1401 and ADAU1701, he communicates with Sigma Studio through the network ( Localhost, Ethernet and WiFi ) and allows the visualization of the record data in real time, allows to save the RAM content (Code in Execution) to a binary file, which can be saved directly to the eeprom using ic programer, also can be used by a microcontroler to boot DSP.

If you are afraid to run a file, made by a developer you don't trust, you can run it in a virtual environment, or if you prefer, you can wait, I'll be making the source code available in a few days, im trying to porting it to ( Lazarus IDE wich is free ), currently it is on Delphi and you must a valid licence to use...

I will update this post, whenever there are changes or corrections, the current version of the application is available on the home screen.

If you encounter any problems, let me know, sending a private message, dont forget to comment you expriency with this application.

This listening at default TCP Port ( 8086 ), at any local address address you have like ( 127.0.0.1, 10.1.1.x, 192.168.x.x )

PS: The purpose of this application is to allow the verification of the functioning of TCP / IP with Sigma Studio and also allow the creation of the eeprom file, for those who do not have USBí at the moment or for programmers to learn how communication works.

Hi Rocha,

This is really amazing work! Can you make a tutorial for the tool using?

Does it need to co-work with the SigmaStudio? Like design the path routing/ add EQ block... etc then using TCPi to download it.

Will it work for the 1452 or 1463/7 in the future?

Thank you!

BR.

Hi Alvis, yes, TCPi Emulator, also TCPi interface will support 1452 in a few days ( About 1463 is not planed at this time, but i will put in list ), Both tools works with Sigma Studio, but to download it to DSP, only TCPi interface is needed, also TCPi allow realtime control of DSP modifing parameters inside Sigma Studio.

About tutorial, emulator is only for check/view TCP comunications, so there is no need of tutorial, just run it, connecgt with Sigma Studio, and starts write/read.

Hi Rocha,

So the connection way will like this in SigmaStudio:

Am I right?

Glad to hear you will make this good app to connect with the 1452!

Thanks again!
