Excursion limiter

This is something that you can make as complicated, or simple, as you like. It will depend on how accurate you want this to get.

What processor are you using?

Are you using a Class-D amp that has I/V feedback?

The simplest way is to setup a limiter that you calibrate the max output to your speakers and power amp.

The more complicated way is if you have an amp that has current and voltage feedback then you can sense what the speaker is doing.

With the I/V feedback you can track the power being dissipated into the speaker. Then you can track the coil temperature which affects the excursion a little. So you would adjust the limiter to limit earlier or later depending on the estimated coil temperature. So as you can imagine, this gets a little complicated.
