hi.

i'm asking an help to solve my problem in the subject:

i have realized the programmable DSP for caraudio use with this components (see the scheme below):

- SURE ADAU1701 Kernel board

- CY7C68013A USB to program the EEPROM of the ADAU1701.

i'm setting the correct driver into the PC to see the CY controller as "analog device programmed" USB peripherical.

if i'm opening the file of my project in sigmastudio tool into the PC and click to "hardware configuration" sheet, is shown the USB connection as an ORANGE and not a GREEN block.

this means that there is not communication with the USB port in sigmastudio, while the CY programmer is seen correctly as "controller USB peripherical" in Windows manage device.

i haven't Always this problem; sometimes the connection was GREEN, but in the last months all my tries have had the same results.

it seems as the correct USB connection to the CY programmer is random.

is possible that when i try to reconnect, the CY programmer back to a previous state ? there are some setting to modify in order to see Always the correct comunication ?

do you have already faced this type of problem ?

thanks for your help.

Hello maxbruz68,

I would love to help you but we really do not support other programmers besides the one we produce. We use a slightly different Cypress part in the USBi and we have our software programmed into the device to properly communicate with SigmaStudio. I do not know if Cypress can help you with this. When our part is in the system it enumerates as a USBi not as a "controller USB peripheral" as you described. If this is built into the SURE board then you should also ask them about the issue.

Hi Maxbruz68, i already have trouble with cypress chinese boards, they are unstable, but it works! as alternative you can use ESP8266 or ESP32 boars instead cypress one, it act as programmer and works great, ESP8266 firmware is available on q-a/164008 , for ESP32 will be available at same address on a few days.
