Hello Alex,

I think you are referring to 32.0 format? Integer format?

If it is 0.32 format then you are talking about 32 bit audio data correct? I would like to know the details of your project. Are you taking in 32 bit data through the serial ports? How are you getting to the 0.32 format?

This is a question that has not been asked before and it is something that is difficult for me to test here on the bench. So I need to know exactly what you are doing and I will try my best to get an answer for you.

Have you tried to use the ASRCs? What are you seeing as a result?

i heve some trobles for working with asrc. it give 8.24 format. if i send it to dac i use 32 bit . for proper using of 32 bit i need to swith to 32 bit format. but it 43 db lower(128 times smaller). so for proper calculations i need to use all 32 bit. I heve only one way to do this - increase volume from asrc +42 db.

What ADC and DAC are you using?

ASRC doesn't have gain. They put straight out the same scale they receive.

How are your serial input and output configured?

Hello Alex,

OK, I understand now. The ASRC is actually working with a 1.24 format so yes, it will be really low for a 32 bit format.

In case you do not know this. You first must change the format of the DSP core output to be 32 bit. You right click on the output cell and change the data format.

Then you change the serial port settings to also be 32 bits.

Once this is done you will be getting 32 bit data from the core out to the DAC.

To bring up the level you will have to raise up the output of the ASRC by 42 dB as you have found. There is no way around that, You need to get it up to a 1.31 level signal which is 42 dB higher.
