Is it possible to code purely (or semi-purely) in assembly in CCES?

I am using the ADSP-21489 E-Z kit.

I tried to compile a simple assembly program to test this and get the following error:

[Error li1021] The following symbols referenced in processor 'p0' could not be resolved:
'main [_main]' referenced from 'app_startup.doj'

So it seems the compiler is looking for a main function (as it is C based this seems logical). I tried naming a global function in assembly "main" but that doesn't seem to work.

Is there something I am missing here?

Hi,

Apologies for delay in getting back. Please find an example code attached, that tests the LED blinks in ADSP 21489 EZ-Kit.
