Hi Sir

I have a ADAU1467 EVB and try to verify the noise reduction performance. I download your trial Noise reduction block. My schematic is at below picture.

Main schematic

In the Block

I record the noise on my car and put it in one input port. The other is outside vocal. Look like this block can work but there is gi-gi noise on the output. I put a voice file in the attachment. I have some question.

0246.NR noise + vocal.wma

1. Is my schematic correct? Should I need to add a filter to remove the gi-gi noise?

2. What this noise reduction block can do? I can't find the information of this block in the Wiki. What noise this block can reduction?

3. What noise signal I should put on the input port to test this block? It is hard to verify the performance of noise reduction. I only can verify it by my ears.

Hello,

There are some components missing from your diagram, including the Analysis and Synthesis windowing in the Block domain.

We have some Noise Reduction example projects here which you might want to use in your evaluation:

https://wiki.analog.com/resources/tools-software/sigmastudio/toolbox/adialgorithms/aecnrexamples

And the block documentation is here:

https://wiki.analog.com/resources/tools-software/sigmastudio/toolbox/adialgorithms/nr

The choice of signals and noise to evaluate is up to you, as it will depend on your application. Please reply if you have further questions!

Regards,

Joshua
