Hi

just invested in some Sure boards AMP2 and ICP3 and i seem to be getting ye old communication errors no matter what i try ..

I have looked around the forum for a good list of things to try so i guess this is to see if I have missed any options?

My PC is running win10 pro up to date .. it has one usb3 port and 4 usb2 .. the usb driver setup looks good (Graphic goes green ok etc). It all looks exactly how it should on all examples I have tried so I have not included screen shots..

what I have tried with no joy..

every port on my machine inc usb3

different leads

another up to date win10 machine I use as media center

checked and re checked all jumper/ switches etc

some posts suggests a different driver .. can anyone advise on which ones would be worth a try..

is there anything that can be run to check it really is in good communication?

I have an old win 7 machine that is retired but still runs but is 32 bit .. how would I get hold of a 32bit sigma studio version to try this option?

thanks for any help

Hi TLG, Analog Devices does not provide support for third party programers, you can do a few things check where is your problem, see bellow.

a) Your DSP board may be damaged or not working.

b) Your programer may damaged or not working.

c) Your may have wire bad connections.

d) Your windows have problems on USB communication ( PS. I have Windows 10 too, with USB 2.0/3.0, cheaper cypress cy7c68013a EZ-USB fx2lp from China and works after some workarounds ( I have to connect to DSP board only after USB communication has been established, i have USB signed Drivers, i have spended some time before it works first time, if you programer is based on cy7c68013a IC you may have same problem )

On all cases, check if wired correclty, after that you will need logic analizer ( like Salae Logic ) or oscilloscope, then check comunication on ( I2C or SPI ) lines/pins, if comunication is correct, probably you have a AMP2 DSP damaged board, if not, you have a problem on Programer ICP3 or USB bad Comunication.

I have coded TCPi interface programer, wich comunicates with Sigma Studio over wifi, if your DSP IC is ADAU1401 or ADAU1701 you can try it, just having cheaper ESP8666 or ESP32 module and program it with provided firmware, follow this link

So as you can see, boards/modules are not not so easy, because need some electronic knowledge and equipements.
