I have a customer that is looking to utilize an ADSP-2156x DSP to take analog inputs, perform some DSP functions, then output analog signals. Both the inputs and outputs will be a mix of mono and stereo sources/loads.

Assuming there are a total of 32 audio input channels and 32 audio output channels needed to support the various sources/loads, what would be the optimal way to get these analog signals in/out of the DSP? Looking at audio CODEC's, it seems that there could be a limitation on daisy chaining (unless I've missed something), and the other option is using audio ADC/DAC's which seems to be the more logical path.

They are also looking at working with A2B to extend the system so multiple SPORTS (say 2 full duplex) would be needed for that as well.

Thanks,

Mike
