Hi,

as there are 8 i/o s on the adau 1701 / 1401 I am wondering what kind of converters I could use for that and how to set them up.

Not sure if this is possible or advisable but as I2C control is working great now I am thinking of making a eurorack based small performance mixer. Having a basic 3 band parametric eq or maybe a 2 bans tilt eq for 8 channels and maybe with a second dsp acouple of effects would be awesome and pretty easy in case converters are not too expensive and quality is ok.

It doesn't need to be max quality. 16 bit 44,1 khz will do the quality of the ones on the chip is fine.

cheers

jens

We use the Cirrus parts for ADC CS5343 and for DAC we use CS4334 they are cheep and work well with the ADAU1701 we use them is slave mode.
