I need to use an ADAU1701, namely its ADC and DAC. I have to produce some signal using DAC and store some another signal using ADC. Thereby, received samples with ADC have to be saved somewhere for further usage. A bare ADAU1701 does not allow to store samples (correct me, please, If I am wrong), so I use a microcontroller. And at this moment I get stuck. SigmaStudio provides a block called 'Data capture' allowing to get ADC data. I can connect a input block with 'Data Capture' and get values with a microcontroller but this method has a serious limitations. It does not allow to find out the time when a value was received. In other words, the method does not give opportunity to estimate a time distance between two values.

Thereby, I have a following question. How to get ADC values for storing in microcontroller's memory and have an opportunity to know time of a measurement? I suppose there is a possible way. Perhaps, I can connect input block (ADC) with digital output (I2S) of an ADAU1701 and connect ADAU1701 I2S bus with a microcontroller bus but I am not sure will it influence sampling frequency or something.
