Dear Team ,

I want to reverse a signal to create a mirror image of itself .

Is there a way to do this in Sigma Studio

I know that multiplying time of signal by a gain value of -1 would do this .

However I can't seem to find a way to do this

Any help

Just a signal should be a mirror image at the output

Thanks in advance

Hello Hermione,

Most SigmaDSP algorithms won't let us diddle directly with time or sample number, so there's no place to insert a (-1), One exception is the Voltage-Controlled Delay. We can run a small interval backwards by advancing through a VC Delay twice as fast as the samples come in. Unfortunately this means that our delayed sound can only last half as long as the delay length. Yet it's long enough to hear that it works. Here's one implementation:

Throw the Switch ON, and you hear a 0.2 S chunk of sound backward. Of course you could replace the switch with trigger logic for your application.

Best regards,

Bob
