Hi All,

I have recently made a board that should have the ability to handle 16 inputs in total, on serial port 0 i have one PCM4202 directly attached, and three more modules connected through IO 2,4,6. The primary port alone works perfectly when "Channels/frame and BCLK/channels" is set to 2 channels, 32 bit/channel, now next step is to include the other channels, so i changed "Channels/frame and BCLK/channels" to 4 channels, 32 bit/channel - now it receives data from one channel of each module, so naturally i though this would be fixed by applying 8 channels, 32 bit/channel but doing this bring all channels down except ch 0,1(ch1 gets additional noise in lower region), no data is being received on the others. Disabling IO 4,6 and using only ch 0,1,4,5 also gives the same result in 4 channls, 32 bit/channel mode, only one half of the channels are received. Any ideas or thoughs?

Hello,

The behavior you are seeing is expected based on our experience. There is an easy workaround which should give access to all the channels.

Please configure the port to TDM4, then connect the even numbered channels (0, 2, 4, 6....) in your schematic.

You should find that Channel 0 is the LEFT component of the first channel pair, and Channel 2 is the RIGHT component of the first channel pair.

Then, Channel 4 and 6 are the LEFT and RIGHT from SDATAIO2, and so on.

If you are interested in learning more about why this is the case, please look at this post. There is a lot of information there.
