16-Bit I2S data on ADAU145x/146x

Hi,

I've tried to use the Serial Port for a 2x 16-Bit interface to another chip. The serial port is a slave configuration.

But when I set the dropdown list to "2 channels / 16 bit/channel" the graphic in the lower right corner shows only 1 channel instead of 2.

The datasheet on page 71 shows also 2 channels with 16 Bit each.

What's the reason for this?

Is it only a issue with Sigma Studio and I do get 2 channels?

Hi Christian,

You certainly should be able to receive the 2ch signal. I think this is a minor visualization issue in SigmaStudio. Have you tried this in real life? Is one of the channels missing in the real system?

I don't have my full lab setup today, but I can get this on a scope tomorrow and do some further investigation.

Hi Joshua,

I went to the office to test the interface on an ADAU1452 and it works as expected.

So for the ADAU146x I guess this is a drawing error in the Sigma Studio GUI.
