Cannot connect Aardvark I2C with SSM3582 in SigmaStudio

I am trying to connect the I2C port of an Aardvark to the I2C port of the SSM3582 in the HardwareConfiguration - Config tab of SigmaStudio 4.6.

While that does work with the USBi, the port on the SSM3582 doesn't accept the wire drop when using the Aardvark. I can connect the Aardvark I2C to the ADAU176x how ever.

Is this a bug, or am I missing some precondition?
