Hello:

I try to disable Blackfin 532 DSP UART clock to stop UART

( *pUART_GCTL=0x0000; )

, then I reinitialize the UART ( enable clock and set up other register), but it looks like after re-initialization, the UART is not working ( not receiving).

if I do not do ( *pUART_GCTL=0x0000; ), then UART re-initialization is working.

Any suggestion?

Can you see the attached ADSP-BF533 UART Loopback example code and check if that works for you?

Please let me know if you have any further queries.

I am able to make UART to work after initialization.

The question is during the loop, once I disable the UART clock, then after a short while, do re-initialization to all the UART registers, just do the same way as I did before the main loop, then the UART does not work.

if after initialization, I do not touch UART clock, then everything is working.

Did you try re-enabling the interrupt ? I'm not sure if you are using the ADI code but if you are you can do stuff like this...

adi_uart_SubmitRxBuffer(ghUART, &RxBuffer[0], 1);
/* enable the UART transfer */
eResult = adi_uart_EnableRx(ghUART, true);
