Customer (KPIT) wants to use AD21467WBBCZ3A this part for Video stabilization project and in design stage now, but while entering e-quote , we get following error "this part contains Dolby and DTS software which this customer is not authorized to purchase. Contact ADI sales to provide more information to determine what this customer is looking for"

so does this feature (Dolby and DTS) require any software license to use it.

If customer does not want this feature, then is the part available without this DOLBY and DTS software ? What is the part number ?

This part# AD21467WBBCZ3A is not available on ADI website. Where to get the details ?

Looks like the actual part number you are looking for is ADSP-21467, which belongs to fourth generation SHARC floating point processors.

The list of SHARC processors can be found here. Please have a look at our new multi core processors which are the latest in a growing series of high-performance, power-efficient, real-time platforms that deliver greater than 6 giga-floating-point operations per second using two enhanced SHARC+ cores and advanced DSP accelerators (FFT, FIR, IIR).

Hi , one query with respect to AD21469 , this does not have 4Mbit ROM (correct me if wrong) so can customer write code in either external memory or in blocks of RAM 5 Mbits and how booting will take place if code is written in RAM ?

In other way, AD21469 not having 4 Mbits ROM, how will it affect ?

Hello,

Yes, the ADSP-21469 doesn't have an internal ROM that can be used to store the factory programmed DOLBY or DTS software.

When a processor is initially powered up, its internal SRAM is undefined. Before actual program execution can begin, the application must be loaded from an external non-volatile source such as flash memory or a host processor. The internal memory boots at system power-up from an 8-bit EPROM via the external port, link port, an SPI master, or an SPI slave. Booting is determined by the boot configuration(BOOTCFG2–0) pins. You would refer the Processor Booting section in the ADSP-214xx Hardware reference manual for more information.

Best Regards,

Jithul
