Hello,

Till today, we have been using ADZS-HPUSB-ICE with sharc ADSP21161 and VisualDSP5.1.2.

Recently we have started to use ICE-1000.

It seems that for some of our products it works and for some it doesn’t.

It seems that when the JTAG chain has more than 1 device (an FPGA for example), with the ADZS-HPUSB-ICE it is possible to connect to the ADSP21161 but with the ICE-1000 it is NOT possible.

Can someone help?

Hi,

Can you please send us detailed information? Please share the below information's to assist you further.

1.When trying to connect to your session, do you receive any error messages? If so, please send in details of these errors and if possible screenshots of them.

2.If you're using a custom board can you please confirm that it complies with the JTAG Technical Reference Guide EE-68, which is available online at the following location:
http://www.analog.com/ee68

3.Do you have another target board you can use to connect to your emulator with? Does the emulator still behave the same way? Do you still encounter the same error messages?

Also please let us know which operating system that you are using.

We recommend to refer the VisualDSP help path for Configuring a Scan Chain.
Help > Contents > Emulation Tools > VisualDSP++ Configurator > How To > Configuring a Scan Chain

Regards,

Kader
