G.Bit Question

Hi,

I'm using the BF548 and I want to use its PIXC in the follow way:

MainBuffer(RGB_888)-------->|

|>PIXC------>OutputBuffer------>EPPI0------->LCD

OverlayBuffer(RGB_888)---->|

The MainBuffer change continuosly as the OverlayBuffer and , obviusly, the result of the continuous composition must be shown on the display.

How do I set registers of the affected sub systems(PIXC,DMA,EPPI0) to do that?

Can you send me some examples?

Regards

Gabriele

Hi Gabriele,

As this issue has been handled through private support channel, posting the response here for others to benefit.

"The image formats for Main_Image/Overlay_Image/Output_Image can be set in PIXC CONTROL register.

The PIXC on BF548 operates on processor memory i.e. takes main image and overlay image from processor memory; and stores the overlayed image to memory. EPPI can take the processed data and send out to LCD. So, these modules will work independently.

In BF609, PIXC and EPPI can be connected through Video-Interconnect block OR TRU can be used to synchronize the works unit’s of both peripherals. But BF548 don’t have such options. So, you have to manage the synchronization in software."
