I would like to position a monophonic sound that moves around the users perceived space (using headphones), rotating around the head in either a horizontal or a vertical axis. Is there any DSP guidance to accomplish this goal?

Hello,

Analog Devices' SHARC processor family dominates the floating-point DSP market with exceptional core and memory performance and outstanding I/O throughput. With multiple products variants and price points, SHARC brings real-time floating-point processing performance to many applications where dynamic range is key. Latest products provide leading performance/power efficiency and advanced connectivity with an integrated ARM core.

Please look at the SHARC selection table for more information.

There are evaluation kits available for different processors which will provide a platform for customer to evaluate our DSPs. When you navigate through our product specific page you would find its evaluation platform with associate.

If you can provide more information on other requirements from the external interfaces, the speed grade, memory requirements, package, which you are looking for, then we can help you narrow down to select the right derivative in processor family.

Best Regards,

Jithul

I don's see anything in your response that relates to my question. Is there some other key words I should be using?

Looks like there is some confusion here, please confirm whether you are looking for Digital Signal Processor (fixed point/floating point) to accomplish your goal?

I am hoping that somebody has information on using a DSP to synthesize a specific perceived sound source location (of a single frequency tone) around a headphone listener using binaural sound principles. I have a product enhancement idea that could use this additional information.
