To Find Contours in the Image

Hi,

"I am using Avnet Finboard with ADSP BF609.

My intention is to find contours in the image, satisfying few criteria and then extract properties of the contours like angles of the lines in the contour etc.

Currently I am using adi_contours_RLE in the image processing toolbox and some geometry based filtering to get the desired contours. However the precision of the properties I want to extract would be better if I can use some sort of approxpolyDP - Douglas ****** algorithm, or best fit and regression on top of the contours. This feature is common in many image processing toolboxes. In case a similar implementation is present in IPT kindly let me know. If not how do i go about appraching this problems. The API for RLE and Segments does not contain much documentation for customizing ones own regression or best fit algorithm. "
