Hi,

Can you specify the SHARC and TigerSHARC processor part numbers which you are interested in?

The SHARC and TigerSHARC both are floating point processors. But they have different peripherals and targeted for different application requirements.

Few features:

Both have large internal memory. SHARC has up to 5 Mbits and TigerSHARC has up to 24 Mbits.

SHARC processors support SDRAM and DDR interface. TigerSHARC only support SDRAM interface.

TigerSHARC support link ports and multiprocessor interfaces. SHARC has link ports and shared memory interface in some case.

The SHARC processors have more audio centric peripherals which is targeted for audio application. The TigerSHARC do not have many peripherals.

It will be good if you can share your requirements then I can help better on this.

Best Regards,

Jeyanthi
