Thread Summary

The user inquired about the voltage ripple requirements for the Blackfin core voltage (VDD_INT) and DDR voltage (VDD_DMC). The final answer stated that the voltages should not exceed the specified minimum and maximum limits, with VDD_INT on BF60x set to 1.25V (nominal), not falling below 1.19V or above 1.32V. Bypass capacitors are recommended to ensure stability.

Hello,

VDD_INT and VDD_DMC can tolerate ripple as long as the voltage never crosses below the minimum spec or above the maximum spec. To help ensure this is the case, I recommend setting your voltage regulator to the nominal value and having plenty of bypass capacitors of varying sizes. For instance, the VDD_INT regulator should be set to 1.25V (nominal) on BF60x and should never cross below 1.19V or above 1.32V.

Regards,

Joe
