Video door phone DSP recomendation
Which family/PN of DSP is indicated to capture and external video signal, encode in H.264 and send by ethernet cable? Also, what is your recommendation to another DSP that will receive this ethernet frame, decode from H.264 and show the image in a 800 x 480 TFT LCD.

Hi There.
Depending on your processing needs, there are many possible solutions. You will need to select a processor, likely a Blackfin processor, that has an embedded EMAC and a PPI (parallel interface). The PPI port connects seamlessly to many peripherals, including video codecs and sensors/cameras on the input side AND TFT/LCDs on the output side. Given the description provided, I would start with the ADSP-BF51x series of processors for this intended application.
