I am reading EE069 on learning ldf file for writing codes on ADSP21489 platform.

However, I noticed that some projects in the examples of ADSP-21489 EZ-Board do not have ldf file, such as "21489 AD1939 C Block-Based Talkthru 48 or 96 kHz".

I believe ldf file is necessary for locating the programs and data in the memory, so why in these projects ldf file does not exist?

Many thanks!

Hi Wei.

The LDF is a mandatory component for any project. If you do not explicitly define one in your project yourself, the tools automatically link in the default LDF for the processor you have designated in your project properties from the LDF directory:

<VisualDSP Root Directory>\214xx\ldf
