Hi,

Can anyone point me towards the power estimation document/excel for ADSP-BF52x family. I found something for BF60x family and BF53x but not the one I am interested in.

Regards

Hello Khaldoon.

The power estimation application notes that were written for the BF531/2/3. BF534/6/7, BF538/9, and BF561 processors were authored at a time when the maximum power specs were not in the datasheet. Starting with ADSP-BF54x (and applying forward to BF52x, BF51x, BF50x, and BF592), the policy changed such that the same data became available as maximum specifications in the datasheet. At that time, characterization was performed across the rest of the Blackfin portfolio such that the older datasheets were updated with the same specifications. As such, there is no dedicated application note for the ADSP-BF52x processors. However, the concepts/methods addressed in the public application notes that you found for the BF53x will apply also to the ADSP-BF52x processor that you are asking about, you just need to use the numbers furnished in that datasheet for the voltage, temperature, and frequency (and activity scale factor)...and then you need to use the same power specifications for the unique power supplies as well (like USB, etc.).
