bf609 running frame capture example

Hi,

I was trying to run the frame capture example for bf609 ez kit and video decoder EI3.

I get the following messages in the console.

UYVY422 video, Capture frame to file

Decoder Soft Config - adi_twi_Write failed

Waiting for valid video signal at any video input ports..

A fatal error or exception has occurred.

Description: Attempted misaligned instruction cache fetch (Exception with EXCAUSE=0x2A).

General Type: UnhandledException

Specific Type: InstructionFetchMisaligned

General Code: 0x9

Specific Code: 0x2a

Error Value: 0x00000000

Error PC: 0xffa0475a

I had tried with a VGA source and HDMI source. The above console output is for HDMI source connected to video decoder.

The following are the details of boards and softwares used.

silicon ver:0.1,BOM ver-1.3.

cces ver: 1.1.0.

video decoder BSP 1.1.0

Has anyone encountered similar issues ? Please help.

Hi Mohan,

As the output suggests you have made some changes to the configuration from the default, are you able to share your modified example? I have been unable to reproduce the behaviour you are reporting using the same rev of KIT and tools, unfortunately.

I should mention; the later failure (the exception highlighted in red) is almost certainly a consequence of the failed TWI writes. The application needs to perform the soft-switch configurations over TWI, but that's failing for some reason. Without those correctly configured, the example will never run.

If you have another EZ-KIT you can try, I recommend seeing if the behaviour is the same across both boards. Similarly, you may want to try uninstalling the BSP (and deleting any files/folders left behind) before re-installing it, and trying the example as-is, and work from there making your changes again.

Hi Craig,

I uninstalled and reinstalled the BSP and tried the example as-is. I also tried with an other ez-kit. I am getting the following error.
