The user asked if any Analog Devices DSPs have LVDS inputs to route the LVDS sample stream from an ADI ADC. The final answer confirms that TigerSharc processors have LVDS link ports capable of 250 MHz double data rate, supporting up to 250M bytes per second per direction. Accompanying answers suggest using a Quad Receiver like the SN65LVDS390D for easy PCB routing and the SN65LVDS2 for low jitter clock routing.

I see that several Analog Devices ADCs have an LVDS (high-speed serial) output. Do any Analog Devices DSPs have an LVDS input? Is there any way to route the LVDS sample stream from an ADI ADC into an ADI DSP?

I don't know of any ADI DSPs with LVDS inputs. Certainly none of the SHARCs have this feature.

We use LVDS routinely with SPORTs. You will probably need a Quad Receiver. There are several choices. The SN65LVDS390D is my favorite since the inputs are on one side of the device and the outputs on the other. This makes for the easiest PCB routing

If you are routing a low jitter clock, a single SN65LVDS2 might be useful so that you don't introduce jitter from other channels.

Look up TigerSharc, they have LVDS lines

from TigerSharc datasheet:

The processor’s two full-duplex link ports each provide additional

four-bit receive and four-bit transmit I/O capability,

using low-voltage, differential-signal (LVDS) technology. With

the ability to operate at a double data rate—latching data on

both the rising and falling edges of the clock—running at

250 MHz, each link port can support up to 250M bytes per second

per direction, for a combined maximum throughput of

1G byte per second.
