Hi everyone,

Our CODEC IC has two Digital Audio Interfaces. One interface is connected to the ARM processor, and the other one is connected to the BF547 DSP's SPORT port. The DSP runs on a 13MHz oscillator and the CODEC & ARM run on a separate 12 MHz oscillator.

How do I synchronize the CODEC’s MCLK to DSP when the CODEC is in either master or slave mode?

If the DSP does not require common “MCLK” with the CODEC, how does it deal with the clock drift between the two ICs to prevent skipped or repeating sample?

Best regards,

Hai

Is MCLK same as 12 MHz oscillator? Can codec supply the clock to SPORT? Blackfin CLKBUF can also supply a buffered CLKIN to drive other devices.
