Hi ,

I have a question , Could we used PPI -> DMA -SDRAM in such a way that we get a part of image .

If image caputure is done for 725 X 480 and we need a part of center image of 200 X 200 , can get only the center part of the image through DMA and not bringing the entire image .

Please let me know if this is possible .

Thanking you

Hi,

Which Blackfin part are you using?

With the EPPI on the BF54x, if you are using a GP input mode (not ITU-R 656 mode), then you can use the Windowing registers to perform what you are requesting. Refer to Windowing Registers on page 15-86 in the ADSP-BF54x Hardware Reference Manual (http://www.analog.com/static/imported-files/processor_manuals/ADSP-BF54x_HRM_rev1.0.pdf)

Regards,

Gabby
