Hi Team,

Please help.

I am using ADAU1452 and SigmaStudio v4.6 and I have two "Far End In" signals inputs that need to be go into AEC algorithm.

Should I mix these two "Far End In" signals before Low and High frequency splitter and then goes into "AEC" cell?

Or should I first do Low and High frequency split on both "Far End In" signals separately and then mix both "High Bands" and both "Low Bands" and therefore go into "AEC" cell?

regards,

ping

Hello,

Are the two far end signals going to different loudspeakers ? If so, then technically you need two AEC's to handle the two different acoustic paths. If you are mixing them and going to a single loudspeaker, then you just send the mix to one AEC, and no need to split them into high and low first.

Hello,

Here is some good info for two far end inputs, refer to Figures 2 and 4:

Stereo Acoustic Echo Canceller (vocal.com)

If the far end signals are uncorrelated those methods are effective.
