Hi,

I am having trouble with programming the app.ldf for the ADSP-21593. I want to add some Commands and adjust the memory blocks. If I then make some other adjustments in the system.svc, all my changes in app.ldf file are gone and I have to add them again. Is there any chance to avoid this permanent reset of the app.ldf?

Another question I have is if it's possible to set the order of the building of the projects for the single cores? If I build the project for Core2, the project for Core1 is always built first, but I'd just need it the other way round. I would be very glad if someone could help me out here! Thanks!

Regards,

Vitus

Hi Vitus,

Please note that your modifications into default LDF will not be preserved if the LDF gets re-generated. Text inserted between these $VDSG comments will be preserved and any changes made outside of $VDSG section will be lost when the LDF is regenerated.

For example in your ldf, add your command within the VDSG comments like below.

/*$VDSG<insert-new-sections-for-l1_block1> */
/* Text inserted between these $VDSG comments will be preserved */
/*$VDSG<insert-new-sections-for-l1_block1> */

Another way is that, you can use custom LDF file by renaming the ldf like "custom_app.ldf" and add to project by browsing into -T switch, which is available by go to Project > Properties > C/C++ Build > Settings > Tools Settings > CrossCore Blackfin Linker > General.

-T switch directs the compiler to use the specified linker description file (.ldf) as control input for linking. So that LDF will not be changed when re-generated.

>> To change the build order, Use the Build Order preferences page to control the order in which projects are built in a workspace.

Note: Build order is applied to building the entire workspace or to a group of projects. The order in which projects are built is important because of dependencies. Alternatively, you can let the IDE compute the build order by interpreting project references as prerequisite relationships.

To access the Build Order preferences page, choose General > Workspace > Build Order from the tree control of the Preferences dialog box.

For more information please refer the below CCES help path.
CrossCore® Embedded Studio 2.x.x > Integrated Development Environment > Setting CCES Preferences > Preferences Dialog Box > General Preferences Pages > Workspace Preferences Page > Build Order Preferences Page
