Hi,

Regarding RTOS we request you to refer the below link, for more details on available operating system and middleware offerings to enable a user-friendly programming environment for applications developed using the Blackfin® and SHARC® processor families:
www.analog.com/.../middleware.html

We do provide FreeRTOS for the SHARC+ based processors (ADSP-SC5xx and ADSP-215xx) and ADSP-BF7xx processors.

FreeRTOS for Analog Devices Processors is a Real Time Operating System and it is supported by CrossCore Embedded Studio.

Also, FreeRTOS is a free, scalable real-time operating system. This product adds support for the Analog Devices ADuCM302x, ADuCM4x5x, BF7xx and SC5xx (ARM Cortex-A5 and SHARC+ cores) processor families to the FreeRTOS product. FreeRTOS is royalty free and is provided with non-GPL licensing.

You can get the FreeRTOS from the below link.
www.analog.com/.../freertos.html

For more details on FreeRTOS, please refer the user guide which available in the below path after installing FreeRTOS software.

Dear Santhakumari,

Hello.

Sorry, I have one more question?

I'd know the detail design (coding) techniques for using freeRTOS.

But I can't find them in Analog Devices Web Site.

What is good for us to learn the freeRTOS detail using with SHARC+ core and CCES environment?

Ragards,

Masa Hibino

Hi,

We recommend you to refer "FreeRTOS User's Guide" linked below for more details on Analog Devices FreeRTOS product, which might be helpful to you.:
download.analog.com/.../FreeRTOS_for_Analog_Devices_Processors_User_Guide-Rel1.5.1.pdf

This User's Guide document provides instructions on getting started with FreeRTOS for these boards using the CrossCore Embedded Studio development environment.

The Analog Devices FreeRTOS product is an add-on to the FreeRTOS Real-time operating system that provides additional support for Analog Devices processors. The product is installed on top of the FreeRTOS operating system in order to gain additional platform support.

In order to avoid confusion the FreeRTOS operating system will be referred to as the FreeRTOS product. Components from Analog Devices are always referred to as the Analog Devices FreeRTOS product or the FreeRTOS product from Analog Devices.

Source code for both upstream official FreeRTOS release, and the Analog Devices FreeRTOS add on product release are required.

You can download the Official FreeRTOS source code from below link
sourceforge.net/.../

As mentioned before, you can download the Analog Devices FreeRTOS 1.5.1 from below link:
www.analog.com/.../freertos.html

Install the FreeRTOS product from Analog Devices:
To install the Analog Devices FreeRTOS product you will need to first unzip the FreeRTOS product and then install the Analog Devices FreeRTOS product on top of it:
For example, unzip them into folder "freertos":
1. Unzip the "FreeRTOSv10.0.0.zip" into C:\Analog Devices\freertos.
You will get the path such as "C:\Analog Devices\freertos\FreeRTOSv10.0.0\FreeRTOS".
2. Unzip "adi-freertos-1.5.1.zip" into C:\Analog Devices\freertos.
It will add new files and overwrite some files saved in "C:\Analog Devices\freertos\FreeRTOSv10.0.0
\FreeRTOS".

After successfully installation, you can find the below examples in the FreeRTOS installation path:
<Installation path>\Analog Devices\Freertos\FreeRTOSv10.0.0\FreeRTOS\Demo

Also, please refer the user guide "adi_freertos_user_guide.pdf" which available in the below path after installing FreeRTOS software.
<installation path>:\Analog Devices\FreeRTOSvx.x.x\Docs
