ADAU1787 datasheet stated that its I2C address started at 0x28. But when I am in Sigma Studio, when I connected USBi and AD1787, the pulldown only showed I2C address 0x50. The development kit schematics also had address 0x50 printed, But, on page 8 of eval kit user's manual, Figure 15, it showed i2C address 0x28. However, page 9, Figure 20, the address became 0x50. I am completed confused.

Using 0x28 and 0x50, I was able to execute the sample code described in eval kit user manual. How can it be, two addresses single ADAU1787?

Please help.

7 bit vs. 8 bit descriptions for I2C address. ADI uses both.

I reread ADAU1787 datasheet, though page 50 I2C address showed 7-bits, but on page 51, figure 60, it showed ADAU1787 is using 8-bit I2C address which is 0x28. But why Sigma Studio using 0x50 to communicate with ADAU1787 eval kit?

I didn't go read the reference you made but 0x28 and 0x50 are the same actual I2C address if one is a 7 bit description and the other's an 8 bit description. The LSB of the address is the R/W bit. If it seems swapped based on the documents then it's a typo as to whether they mean 7 or 8 bit format.
